The Dixie Bee-Liners are getting textual, and they're inviting music lovers to join in! Throughout the month of June, the award-winning bluegrass ensemble will run a special text-in tour promotion as they travel the United States and Canada. The name of the tour? The 2009 Textual Activity Tour, of course.
Here's how it works:
- Each day in June, The Dixie Bee-Liners will post a special buzzword on their various websites (Dixiebeeliners.com, Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace).
- From 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Eastern Time, music lovers can text the day's buzzword, along with their full name, to (215) 738-9269.
- The first five texts will win VIP passes to the following day's show, plus free gifts!
- Every text gives fans a chance to win the Grand Prize -- a Free BlackBerry® Pearl 8130™ smartphone! (Limit: one text per day, per person.) The Grand Prize drawing will take place on July 1, 2009.
- BRING A FRIEND BONUS! Text in the buzzword, and bring a friend to the following day's show! You'll receive $1 off at the DBL merchandise table for every friend you bring. Just sign your friends in at the door!
- TEXTUAL SUPER-BONUS! Throughout the tour, the band will designate several Textual Super-Bonus Days. Text in the buzzword on these special Super-Bonus Days, and you'll be entered to win two free tickets to The Bee-Liners' cd release party in Nashville this fall!

OFFICIAL RULES: Limit: One text per day, per person. NOTE: All text messages received are applicable to the following day's events. For instance, on days preceding a Dixie Bee-Liners show, the first five text messages received between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. will win VIP passes to the following day's show. In order take advantage of the "Bring a Friend Bonus," your text message must be received between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the day preceding the show you want to attend, AND your friends must pay full admission to the concert, AND you must sign your friends in at the ticketing area of the venue. Textual Super Bonus Days are days preceding a day of rest for the band. No V.I.P. passes will be awarded on Textual Super-Bonus Days; instead, all text entries received on these days will be entered to win two free tickets to The Bee-Liners' cd release party in Nashville this fall. (Time and date of the cd release event to be announced late summer 2009. Transportation, lodging, and all other expenses for the cd release event are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the Textual Super Bonus Winner and are not included in the Textual Super-Bonus prize.) Between June 1-30, 2009, all text messages received between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time will be automatically entered to win the Grand Prize -- a Free BlackBerry® Pearl 8130™ smartphone.
